A magnitude 4.1 earthquake jolted parts of Leyte on Tuesday night, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The tremor struck at a depth of 5 kilometers at 7:20 p.m. around 12 kilometers northeast of Ormoc City.
Intensity IV was recorded in Ormoc City and Albuerra, Leyte.
The earthquake was tectonic in origin, Phivolcs said.
