A 6.5R earthquake has just arrived off the coast of Northern California as shown by the location on the maps above.
The 6.5 magnitude quake struck just off the western coast
of the US, roughly 102 miles west of Ferndale, California, the U.S.
Geological Survey said.
The earthquake hit just before 3pm on Thursday afternoon.
Officials have received reports of the tremors from some 281 people on land.
The
richter scale, which measures seismic activity, ranges from three to
seven, with anything in the range of 6 to 6.9 defined as “strong”, with
enough energy to damage buildings, potentially leading some to totally
or partially collapsing.
Earthquakes of that strength are usually felt up to 155 miles from the epicentre.
As you can see from our California Calendar we were a few hours from the expected date and since our stated accuracy is +-1 we are well within our prediction range. Another demonstration that our method does pick up very large earthquakes and also medium magnitude.

ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteAre you the guy who exposed the guys who didn't report an earthquake in Oregon a couple months ago? The same people who are trying to shut down yourpredictions?
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what you are talking about.
