An earthquake has hit the city of Lahore in northern Pakistan, witnesses said.
The epicentre of the 4.4 magnitude quake was located about 37km southwest of Lahore, at a depth of 10km.
Waqas Habib Rana, a resident of Lahore said the earthquake was "very intense" and might have caused damage.
"I could hear horrific noises coming out of the ground like the earth was going to split open. I hope everyone is safe," he said.
There were no immediate reports of major damage nor casualties
