6.1R on Kermadec Islands, NEW ZEALAND!

This very strong earthquake came 2.35 hours after midnight in Kermadec Islands, New Zealand. It came therefore just 2.5 hours outside our danger window.

The quake was centred to the southeast of the uninhabited New Zealand territory, about 143km SSE of Raoul Island, the US Geological Survey reported. USGS measurements showed the quake took place at a depth of about 10km.
