CHANDLER, Okla. - An Oklahoma judge has refused a request from two energy companies to throw out a lawsuit by a woman who claims she was injured in an earthquake.
Prague resident Sandra Ladra blames the injection of wastewater and said the 2011 5.6-magnitude earthquake, the largest in state history, caused her injury.
Lincoln County District Judge Cynthia Ferrell Ashwood overruled the motions to dismiss that were filed by Oklahoma-based Spess Oil Co. and New Dominion LLC Friday.
The companies wanted the lawsuit dismissed because they said Ladra waited too long to file the lawsuit.
