A 4.3 magnitude earthquake struck 50km north-west of Tuatapere on Sunday.
Two earthquakes rocked western Southland on Sunday.
GeoNet recorded a 4.3 magnitude earthquake 50km north-west of Tuatapere in western Southland at 12.55pm. It was at a depth of 55km and recorded as being of "light" intensity.
People as across the south reported feeling the shake, including some in Invercargill and on Stewart Island.
A 3.9 magnitude earthquake struck 30km north-west of Te Anau on Sunday.
At 6.03pm, a 3.9 magnitude quake was recorded 30km north-west of Te Anau. It was 51km deep.
The earthquakes on Sunday came two weeks after a trio of tremors shook western Southland in the space of five hours, the strongest measuring 4.6.
