Last week, a treasure trove of images from the Apollo missions attracted huge amounts of media attention. The images of day to day life in space were beautiful and captivating, but unless you has a ton of time on your hands they weren't something to just sit down and flip through. And that only makes sense. The independent project, scanning NASA photographs and making them easily accessible has been going on for 15 years. That's a lot of pictures.
Many of the thousands of photographs are grainy, or out of focus. But there are gems hidden in the rough pile of snapshots. Tom Kucy put just a few of the best together, cleaned them up and set them to music, bringing you this lovely short film called Ground Control.
