5.3 magnitude earthquake jolts parts of Punjab

An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale jolted parts of southern Punjab early Friday morning.

The epicentre of the earthquake was Dajal, according to the United States Geological Survey.

Tremors were felt in Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Auch Sharif and adjoining areas. The earthquake hit around 5:30am.

There were no reports of any loss of life or damage to property.
