BIG BEAR LAKE, Calif. (AP) — A small earthquake has shaken a mountain area of Southern California, but no damages or injuries have been reported.
A preliminary report from the U.S. Geological Survey says the magnitude-3.5 quake was centered about eight miles south of Big Bear Lake in San Bernardino County shortly after 7:30 p.m.
About five minutes later another quake, this one magnitude-3.1, shook off the coast of Northern California about 150 miles west of Eureka.
Neither earthquake brought any reports of damages or injuries.
